21. Landscaping - Stage 3
Perennials

The workers in the above picture are starting to plant the perennials where they have been placed according to the landscaping plans. Some of the plants that will be used in this stage of landscaping are: Cannas, Indigo Spires Salvia, Blue Plumbago, Katie Ruellia, New Gold Lantana, and more.

This is another view of a crew of workers planting in another area. As you can see, the crew works together and the workers are able to finish the planting rather quickly.

The landscape architect creates interest in the landscape by using a curved planting area rather than a rectangular bed.  Some of the plants in this bed were planted in stage two.  Now that the danger of frost is over in San Antonio, the workers are able to add the final plants that were outlined in the landscape plans. The new plants will be able to survive next winter in San Antonio after they are established.
