The next step in this landscape was to plant trees in the front yard and to spread mulch over the property. The purpose of the mulch is to help reduce the need for frequent irrigation, and the mulch also protects the plants from extreme temperatures. In the picture above, you can see that the workers distributed the mulch into small piles across the property, and this will help them later spread it evenly across the yard.
