The Building of a Custom
Home
A photo feature
Before any planting began, all of the plants were placed in the most appealing positions with regards to the original plan. Some of the plants used above are: Dwarf Yaupon Holly, Variegated Privit, Nandina, Green Pittosporum, and Japanese Barberry. This picture is of the front yard.
This picture is of the back yard. There is gravel between the sides of the house, which is shown in the top left part of the picture. In Stage One of the landscaping, the gravel was not placed correctly according to the design plans, and there should not be any gravel underneath the two plants in the top left of the picture. The gravel will be removed for these two plants.
Another view of the backyard. Only hardy, evergreen plants that will not be in danger of frost damage are being planted in this stage, so there are areas where no planting will be done at this time. The orange paint on the lower part of the picture shows where rocks will be placed.
